Let me tell you I was well nervous before the shows ; don't forget it's all new music with an all new band. In other words : after 10 years of touring Praga Khan/Jade4u and Lords Of Acid gigs, this is absolutely like starting from scratch! Scary but exciting. I got lots of positive reactions from people I didn't know and who in return didn't know me, either. (This is Belgium and I was never quite a star here...:) So I must say things went very well and I feel good about it all. 

In the meantime the record label guy said the first single was going to be out in the very beginning of summer, but as usual it's taking a lot longer than expected. What to do ... Actually it's a good thing ; all this extra time I spend in the studio and a couple of new songs are born...it seems I'm getting better and better at it :) Although the cd was finished it's getting more tunes as we speak. Also, Danny and I are getting better at mixing the songs . Other people have tried but we were never quite happy with the results... If you know what you want to sound like in your head it's of course no surprise that someone else doesn't. Some of these people say : "Bring cd's of bands you want to sound like and we'll do it". But you know what? I want my music to sound like Darling Nikkie. No one else can give a song the Darling Nikkie sound but Darling Nikkie! So there!

And now, boys and girls, the answer to a regularly asked question : No, I won't be writing anymore Lords Of Acid songs. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like that music (after all it was my baby from the beginning), but I guess it's time for change... Oh! We're working on the merchandising for the site. There's some cute things that I hope you'll like.
