Sorry it took me so long to let you know what's
up...
 |
Let me start by wishing everyone a
happy, happy New Year, full up with everything your heart desires and your
soul requires. |
I for one am very excited about 2001 ; there are
so many good vibes in the air...after a couple of rocky years I feel
I can now let go and start anew! The beauty of rocky times is that you
grow and grow and grow...especially in spiritual ways, because during those
times youÎre being confronted with yourself and your pains. All you
can do then is ride along with those waves. On top of all that I decided
to quit smoking almost a year ago, so I did not exactly go and make it
easier on myself...
I actually prayed a lot...
Sometimes I read in my Guestbook "Danny is a lucky
guy".
Let me tell you brothers and sisters ; Iâm
the lucky girl here. He's always there for me, always comforting me, helping
me. He has
great shoulders to cry on...
Itâs amazing how strong Iâve become.
We finally finished reworking the songs and I have
to say that Iâm very pleased with the results. Even though some of
the changes are subtle, they are extremely effective! |

Yes, I'm happy I got all this extra time to do this
extra work...so thank you, mr. Record company guy! We gave him those
"reworks" and he's very excited.
So ; anyone who's fresh into making music, here
is some advice : don't be hasty. Take your time to give the best you can.
Patience is a virtue and this you WILL learn to understand.
You see ; to have inspiration when you get in to
that studio is one thing. You can make your songs and finish them, thinking
that didnât take too long, but if you listen to them often enough
youâll soon find out things aren't always what they seem. Then you
leave them alone and just go about your business, until...ping!...you know
what to do to make your songs even better! And you go back to the studio
and youâre going to be creative with what inspired you in the first
place!
Let me tell you my friends ; that feels great! The
result is definitely worth your patience...
Iâm now learning to do something new ; upper
tone singing. Are any of you familiar with that? Itâs when
you sing a tone in a certain (throaty) way, you can actually hear a bunch
of higher frequencies floating on top. Once you get the hang of it it's
really great! Tibettan monks do it in meditations and shamans heal with
this type of singing.
Just to let you know what Iâm up to...

And look what our dog, Quibes is up
to : we caught him and the bitch from next door, Bikki in our garden...
He is now the father of 7 (!) puppies and they're
just as cute as can be. Why do I think this is a big deal ? Because poor
Quibes had to become eight to finally get laid (excuse the language), and
we were cheering him on. |
Awww he's so lovely...
Well, I guess this is it for now.
Kisses and love,
Darling Nikkie xoxoxoxo
