So much has happened that I don't even know where to start!
Let's see...
Summer was rainy, stormy...just like my heart. This rollercoaster ride I'm on seems to be getting more and more extreme. I'm finally starting to touch the essence of me and it's...fun and scary all at once. I'm learning to put it all into songs. The result is surprising to me ; it's like therapy!
All of a sudden I can see a little clearer : the music on this cd is what Danny calls Soultripping and he's right! It's a search for depth - self knowledge - acceptance - love - anger - hate - joy - fun - fear...emotions.
You know how artists often say "well, I was inspired by this and that person, movie, cd..."?
I'm inspired by ME and boy, it seems like I find new inspiration every day! Like waking up from a long sleep or something. Or like going through a messy drawer you put everything in and never look at until it's so full you HAVE to clean that shit out, know what I mean?

Instead of sitting in a corner just trying to make sense of my life and it's happenings, I write songs about it, as honest and open as I can. Up to a point where I sometimes feel that one or two of those songs are perhaps too hard to actually put them on cd.
The music is smooth and pleasant to the ears (live sax! Live strings! Live keys!), but the lyrics have some sharp edges here and there. Not what you'd expect... .
I'm showing my feelings and they are not always pretty.

What else am I doing? Oh yeah! Danny and I took up sculpting. It feels so good to throw yourself on the clay and pound, hammer and shape : excellent for ridding yourself of frustrations :)

Also, there's a new dance track out with my vocals. I'm sure that if you go to www.jadedreams.com (the Benoit site) it'll say when and where this song is released. The title is "Mystery Revealed" by Starchild. For the trance lovers.

Danny and I are very seriously looking into the idea of making a Darling Nikkie calendar thanks to some of the fans on the Ask The Darling page. That whole idea became a real fun "conversation"(go check it out if you haven't yet)! I'm glad to have you for my fans (though a bunch are becoming true friends).
I also want to thank the people who share their emotions with me on the same "Ask..." page.
Now remember ; I can only speak from my own experiences rather than give advice. Looking at your questions and stories (the personal, deeper ones) I see we all have one thing in common : we all want and need LOVE... .

Danny just fixed me a delicious cup of hot coco and our American friend Fred is here, so it's relaxing time... .
Today I'm feeling tired (from years of bad sleeping), but good.
I'm a happy puppy!
