 Nikkie's art We got 2 cats to make mice think twice about taking over the place. Quibes, our dog (remember him?) doesn't like them much, but what to do? So sometimes he plays his part and pretends to make an effort by chasing them a bit and then goes to sleep. He keeps me awake many nights, snoring like it's nobody's business. Oh well... . Songs seem to be pouring out of me. I'm so inspired right now. The Goddess Of Destruction songs are all finished and I absolutely love them. The video clip is amazing!! Some of you have seen a very short part of it on the Goddess website...the full length one is like a great big adrenaline rush. Man, the power of the song and the images combined is firework!! Also, I'm writing some stuff together with Alex Koffler - check out his website thebeautyabove...he's real talented. Makes great music! It's fun and we're doing it over the internet. We're sending ideas (vocals, melodies, music...) back and forth...I'm sure the result will be wonderful! Don't worry ; we'll keep you informed when things take shape. The other day I got my hands on an old picture of mine. I was working at a new and happening club at the time, the Ancienne Belgique. I hadn't seen it for maaaaany years - it wasn't in my possession - so it was a nice surprise when an old boyfriend of mine gave it back! Thanks, Ben xoxoxo Aww - ain't I cute?  In the meantime Danny is practicing on his keyboard, playing GOD songs. He's doing fantastic - he's my hero! He's vast becoming a great producer, mixer and performer...I'm proud to have him as my partner (in music as well as else where  Next week my two backup singers (Lucy Dark and Kaya Love) are coming over for a vocal rehearsal, so we're slowly getting ready for action. We're sending our beautiful promo packages to record labels, booking agents and managers. A couple of weeks ago Oliver (Adams) invited me to a champagne party, so we spent some quality time together and I made some new friends. The next day we all went for dinner and we drank to new friendships. They're coming over on Sunday and Danny's going to cook - he's so good at that! Yes, ladies, I feel your envy ooze out of you :) I'm enjoying winter this year. We have snow every now and then, good sturdy flakes. We go for walks until our ears freeze and then we stop for hot chocolate and whiskey, mmmm... . And I know many people are waiting for brighter days with shorter nights, but I actually enjoy waking up in the dark. I look out the window and see the streetlights still on, laying an eerie glow over a blanket of snow. When the darkness comes in the early evening I light many candles in colorful jars and it makes the house so cozy. Yeah, I guess I'm just hibernating in my nest and I won't come out for long until spring. Peace out, Nikkiexoxoxo |
